Sleeping Like a Baby #1

Editors Note: It looks like I’m going to be computerless for another few weeks. I have to wait for my tax return (I filed for an extension back in April) to come in before I can buy the replacement parts I need to resurrect her.
I’m tired of neglecting this blog, but I absolutely hate writing posts from my phone (as I’ve said countless times before), so I’ve found a compromise. I’m going to post pictures with short captions, which is easy to do from my mobile.

EJ can be a difficult baby to put to sleep, but when he does finally drift off its usually pretty adorable (and more often than not also involves my sleeping husband). I can’t resist taking pictures, especially when I go out to the living room at 1am to see why the boys aren’t in bed yet and discover both of them passed out on the sofa. So I’ve amassed an ever increasing number of pictures of EJ sleeping, which I will now share with you.
These first images are from last night/this morning

He woke up wanting to nurse, then rolled off of me and made himself comfortable

Quick update

Life has been crazy.

After a month of BS we FINALLY got the leaky pipe and the moldy fallout taken care of.

Hubby has been promoted at one of his jobs, so now he has one day off a week (and he’s no longer hourly, which is a plus).

My laptop’s batter and plug bit the dust simultaneously about 2 months ago. When I’m absolutely desperate I can resurrect it using tape and tin foil, but it isn’t easy to do and is getting harder each time I do it. I should be getting replacement parts soon.

This is why my blog has been neglected. Without a computer there isn’t much I can do. Yes I know there is a wordpress app for smartphones, but blogging SUCKS when you are typing on a tiny on screen keyboard (believe me I’ve tried).

My dad has also been having some serious health problems, so I’ve been helping my family out as much as I can.

But I should in the next few weeks be able to start writing regularly again, and I plan on introducing a new section: The Naptime Kitchen. In this section I will be blogging about the various recipes I’ve created and sharing them with you my readers.

I’ve also gotten seriously addicted to getting freebees in the mail, so I think I might start a product review section where I share my thoughts on some of the products I receive samples for.

Hopefully I won’t be computerless for too much longer.

Mushrooms in the Closet

Seriously. There is a mushroom growing in the carpet of the closet where the water damage was. And this was AFTER they “took care of everything.” Also, they still haven’t “taken care of” the sink cupboard that flooded from the leak as well. So I’m still dealing with all of that. Its getting frustrating. My allergies don’t appreciate all the mold. Oh and on top of that, a storm moved through this morning, and we discovered that water is leaking in from the master bedroom window, so that’s more mold and water damage to deal with. >.<

I don’t know what I did to piss off water, but I’m very very sorry

So we are back from vacation, but it will probably be another week at least before I get back to regular blogging.

Apparently I did something to piss of the water gods, because it has been one hell of a weekend.

You can also follow EJ’s adventures on the Naptime Blogger instagram page (Im currrently unable to post the link but you can find us by searching NaptimeBlogger)

Late-Night Law: Censorous Threats and the Streisand Effect

As I’ve said in the past, Free Speech/First Amendment issues have always been my legal fascination.

I’m also a big fan of the Streisand Effect as those two tend to be intrinsically linked. This probably comes from my propensity for schadenfreude, but its is oh so satisfying to see a sort of karma-induced justice befall censorious thugs. It is also fun, because, typically, when the censorious thugs begin to feel the full force of the Streisand Effect, instead of backing off and saying “my bad,” censorious thugs tend to double down, which only makes it worse. And by worse, I mean more entertaining.
